We have snow today and more forecast for tomorrow, which will probably mean that the Pelicans will stay away for a while longer. Temperatures are expected to plummet down to -10C.

We are eagerly awaiting the return of the Pelicans. They are due any day now. On their arrival we will post Pics and Info on numbers.

The lake is 80% frozen and a group of 26 Mute Swans are occupying the last remaining waters.

We celebrated the onset of the coming Spring yesterday with a picnic and controlled campfire on the edge of the Reserve.

Please feel free to contact us with any queries you may have regarding the Srebarna Biosphere Reserve and our work here.
