We live at the Pelican Lake Guesthouse & Environmental Project Centre Srebarna, adjacent to the Biosphere Reserve in North East Bulgaria. We provide regular updates on our project work and reports on activity on the reserve. Guests give a helping hand

Earlier this month we were fortunate to have the lovely Radnell family with us for a few days.

Sam was a great help in the garden watering the flowers and eating the fruit with Peggy and Vladi....


















David too did his fair share of the workload, harvesting the peas...

















and Elina was busy picking cherries.....

Great Green Bush Cricket

While out in the garden picking strawberries this jumped onto my arm....
















This beautiful Great Green Bush Cricket , Terrigonia viridissima , was somewhere between pronymph and adult stage, as you can see it's wings were still wet but it had developed most of it's green colouring.
